Air Asia's Airplane Flash Drive

On a recent flight on Air Asia from Macau to Bangkok the flight attendants were pushing these promotional flash drives.
I am in Thailand on a 2 week vacation so I'll keep my eyes open for interesting promotional products to report on in the coming weeks.

This is a Simpson's T shirt that as part of a press kit for Fox's animation line up on Sundays. The press kit was given out in the fall of 2006 (see how up-to-date I am!) for the new seasons of the Simpson's, Family Guy and American Dad aired.

Raunchy Mouspad from Axe

This mouse pad was placed in some internet cafes around Dubai to promote Axe's new website. Inappropriate? probably.
But the idea was received so well that many of the mouse pads were stolen from the cafes.

The Beer Holster

I found this while searching around on the PPPC website today. The model looks quite nice with the holster on each thigh but I think it's a little misleading. Do you think a woman who would actually use 2 beer holsters is going to have a figure like that?

Umbrella Caps

Would you dare to imprint one of these for your next promotion or recommend this umbrella hat to your customers? Well, the good folks at Prime Ideas and Wadayaneed think so. I don't think that your customer would wear such an item but there have been stranger promotional products...

"On a rainy day, it will be the wings for your arms!"

If the umbrella hat isn't strange enough for you, please consider the UFO Cap from Koryo Industrial Co Ltd in Korea. Koryo states that they have exported to countries like Japan and Mexico but it doesn't say anything about Europe or North America. Why pass on this opportunity to be be one of the first suppliers of the UFO Cap in your market?

Godfather II Press Kit

The press kit select people in the media (not me) received for the new video game Godfather II includes some interesting schwag. The kit includes, among other things, a cigar, matches, a wire? and brass knuckles.
This isn't like the brass knuckles mug that just has a handle that looks like brass knuckles, this is the real deal.
A lot of bloggers are crying about how these can be illegal in many states if they are used for anything other than a paperweight but I think EA was planning on stiring up some contraversy for the sake of publicity.
I think it's a good idea, unless some idiot actually uses them to beat someone up but I'm more worried about someone using the wire.
